CRM101 - An Introduction Program

The following outlines a three step plan for managers and executives seeking more information about CRM concepts and strategies.

Step 1: Front-Office Overview-“Sorting through the confusion”

This two hour session provides a high-level framework for understanding front-office technologies from a business perspective.  It includes a best practices overview and case studies from Fortune 1000 companies.  Upon completion the participants will be better able to determine how front-office technologies could be applied within their organization and which investment strategies are more likely to be successful.    Time:  2 – 4 hours

Step 2: Industry Conference

Conducted 2-4 times per year the industry analysts will sponsor Customer Relationship Management seminars.  These seminars provide an excellent forum to become familiar with various technologies and best practices.   To check event times and locations on www.gartner.com or www.amresearch.com.

Time:  1.5 to 2.0 days

Time Saving Tip:   

Here are some tips for getting the most value out of your time....

1)  Plan on joining the general sessions.  Generally these sessions provides you the opportunity to hear from nationally recognized speakers.

2)  Search through the available workshops and plan on attending 3-5 sessions that are relevant to your needs.   It is a good opportunity get your specific questions answered.

3)  If they are hosting a vendor exhibit, allocate 2-4 hours to view products and get familiar with the various vendor offerings in the market.  

 4) If possible, bring a friend so that you can compare notes in the evenings. 

Step 3: Subscribe to CRM Magazine (ongoing)

This monthly magazine provides a good reference source to keep informed about the CRM industry and emerging ideas and trends.  It specializes in the CRM industry and provides case studies that you can evaluate and apply to your specific needs.  You can register for this magazine on  www.destinationcrm.com.
